Holidays in Hurghada

The beach resort of Hurghada has much to offer those seeking a glorious holiday in the sun. Offering a completely different atmosphere to European holidays, a holiday in Egypt certainly lets you know that you’re a long way from home, helping you to relax into your long anticipated holiday. The peaceful atmosphere, classy amenities and welcoming people allow you to switch off the Blackberry and relax at last.

Hurghada which is located on the North East of Egypt is a perfect destination for those seeking a beach holiday, with plenty of sand at your disposal, great for those looking to relax with a good book and equally exciting for families with young children looking to build sandcastles. The beaches in Hurghada are great for children as the sand shelves quite serenely allowing them to paddle in safety. If a beach for you should involve more excitement then the watersports in Hurghada are sure to delight you. Diving is a particular joy here, whether you prefer scuba diving or snorkelling.

Beaches aren’t the only thing Hurghada has to offer though and amongst other delights there are a number of shopping facilities which are sure to keep visitors occupied and suitcases bulging. Head to one of the commercial centres and hunt for bargains or to one of the street bazaars which are great for locally made produce, but remember to barter.

Once you’ve filled your suitcases, worked on your tan and tried your hands, feet and lungs at diving then there is still plenty more to do in Hurghada. Days out here are magnificent with desert safaris, quad biking, camel rides and day trips to other areas of Egypt are available. Luxor is the most popular destination as you can traverse the River Nile by boat and even visit the Valley of the Kings, a once in a lifetime opportunity to see up close some of the most breathtaking monuments of our past.

Back in Hurghada the evenings have as much to offer as the days. Restaurants are happy to feed you up with traditional Egyptian cuisine as well as more international fare. The local establishments provide great evening entertainment too from belly dancing to live shows, sure to keep all the family entertained. For those who want to stay up late into the night there are a number of bars and nightclubs, happy to keep the drinks flowing and the music pumping well into the night.
