HOTEL: The Palacio Carvajal Girón is located near the main square of Plasencia, in the Plaza de Ansano. The hotel occupies a listed building from the 17th century and has a tufted façade and is beautifully decorated with stone pillars and original wells.The establishment has a restaurant, a cafeteria located in the roofed atrium of the palace, a relaxation area with a Jacuzzi and parking with limited spaces in a courtyard outside the building (mandatory reservation is required with the hotel to confirm availability).The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, which can also be enjoyed on the garden terrace upon reservation. Gluten-free dishes are prepared on request.The hotel is in the old Jewish quarter of Plasencia, a 5-minute walk from the old city walls. The train station is just over 1 km away.

Conceived from its origins as a fortress, it denotes a very pronounced military character throughout its old town. Since the end of the 15th century, Plasencia would welcome the most renowned of the Extremaduran nobility, which led to dukes, counts and marquises residing in the city, fortunately leaving a great historical-artistic legacy of which a large part is still preserved. The most interesting thing about a visit to Plasencia consists of walking through its streets, squares, wall walks and corridors, where you feel the evolution of its history and the past is confused with the present.
